μ C/OS-Ⅱ (MicroC/OS),the Real-time kernel is a highly portable, ROMable, very scalable, preemptive real-time, multitasking kernel (RTOS) for microprocessors and microcontrollers. Its outstanding stalwart quality, dependability and security have already gotten the extensive identification.The task of this thesis is research the transplant of μ C/OS-Ⅱ on the DSK ( DSP Starter Kit) Board.This thesis has introduced the difference of real-time operating system and ordinary embedded operating system at first. Then the inner workings of μ C/OS- Ⅱ are described . The content of this thesis is also including the structure of kernel, task schedule, timer management, and interrupt management. We selected is TMS320C5402 DSK Board of Texas Instruments and the CCS (code composer studio) 2.0 integration development environment. We have accomplished the tasks, which is concentrates on resource management of ground floor and peripheral hardware of DSK board. And have researched the using efficiency of RAM and the software stability on this system. We have attained the experience of using μ C/OS- Ⅱ and theory of RTOS.
