Automatic Test System (ATS) has been continuing for three generations. In the Information Age, informatization, which promotes and improves industrialization, has become more and more important. Now, many systems which people developed in each application field are special, and don't have the wide generality, because of the lack of unified standards, abundant program languages, numerous software develop environments and multiplicate hardware interfaces etc, especially in the telemetry field. Accordingly, a general ATS is designed in the paper for telemetry equipments, which can be used for automatic testing on many types of telemetry equipments.Thinking of the performance and the cost, hybrid buses of GPIB and PCI are chose, based on the virtual instrument (VI) technology. Meanwhile, we propose the construction scheme, in which the toy bricks'type is primary and the special type cooperates. We can also make full use of resources and reduce the cost in the scheme, which has the feature of modularity, standardization and the open architecture. At the same time of system designing, the paper emphatically introduced the development of calibration system. General equipments are chose to construct the transmission calibration system for telemetry equipments. Meanwhile, man-machine interfaces, instruments control, channel transmission calibration and data storage are designed using the modularization criterion based on the commercialized platform of LabWindows/CVI.When testing, the calibration system which runs steadily can calibrate 60 channels with 32 points for each and can do resistance test for 70 channels at the same time. And the precision is high, attaining 1mV (peak-peak value) on amplitude, 0.01Hz on frequency and 1m? for small resistance etc. The scheme improvement is discussed properly at the end of this paper. |
