The article presents an introduction of algorithm for signal parameter estimation module in radar system. The algorithms of inra-pulse analysis and down-sampling are discussed in detail, furthermore a series of optimization methods are used to improve the efficiency of system on ADSP TS201S.Inra-pulse analysis algorithm distinguishes signals and noises in time-domain by the correlation character of signal and non-correlation character of noise. Then signals can be easily sorted and parameters can be precisely estimated. In order to reduce the calculation and improve the system efficiency, down-sampling method is brought out based on the idea of intra-pulse analysis. This projest confirms down sampling rate on the premise without spectrum aliaing first, then resolves sub-sampling signal's pahse ambiguity.System's real time is a very important problem in digital signal processing. Chapter five focuses on how to increase processing rate in two aspects which are program design and memory configuration, with the pratical example in project. When programming, the algorithm should accord with the DSP internal hardware structure, such as using both of the ALU; parallel statements should be more written to enhance the calculation capacity in one cycle; pipline operation and pinline cost should be considered because more computation can be arranged between two statements while it is waiting result of last operation. When memory allocating, buses need to be properly assigned to decrease bus conflicts; datas that used at the same time should best put into different memory blocks. After optimiziation, the result of the operation of this DSP system indicated that the work is effective and coincide with the project requirements.
