Gas water heater provides tremendous convenience for our life and gets people's favour widespreadly. As the electric control center of gas water heater,the capability of igniter controller is very important.If it is unqualified,gas maybe deflagrate then endanger consumers directly.In this paper,researched a testing system of igniter controller based on virtual instrument.Based on virtual instrument technic,it broke through the limitation of traditional test method,used Lab Windows developed by America National Instruments corporation as development software and made use of resistance voltage divider,signal conditioner and high speed data acquisition card,the paper developed the testing system of igniter controller which detected working voltage, working current,ignitor voltage,sustaining voltage,pull-in voltage and discharge energy before igniter controllers leave factory.The thesis introduced the concept of virtual instrument first, compared the different features of popular project, discussed the characteristics and problems of present testing system, point out the feasibility of the appearance of virtual instrument.Then, gave software and hardware design of the whole system structure.On the hardware aspect this paper introduced the design of resistance voltage divider and the use of PCI-8360A.On the software aspect discussed each taches of design, such as softpanel design, data acquisition, data-base access and report printing.The system adopted multithreading technique which can reduce temporal interference and make sure each thread run in prestissimo independently.In the end,the measurement identification of the developed system was made and the data was revised. The experiment result has proved that the system has good expansibility and high cost performance and be fit for use of engineering.
