Within half the century, along with the innovation of management ideas and the rapiddevelopment of the information technology, the content and the function of MIS have beenlargely developed in the depth and the breadth. As a result of economical globalizationrapid development, the demands of bales distribution have rapid increased, the existinggeneral warehouse management system as the main logistics management system no longermeet the needs of a wide range. The current warehouse MIS technology is relativelybackward, it is poor performed and uncompleted, what's more, the artificial interference inthe operation is too much which is not convenient to use. At this stage the characteristic ofthe warehouse management is that a particularly large amount of information processing,the many types of the material equipment, the documentary evidences of the supplies andstorage are a large amount, and the related information, query and statistical methods arevarious. Therefore, it will be difficult to manage. Besides, in the management of the processof frequent repetition of information transmission and information uncertainty caused bythe accumulation of material, the documents are not clear, the business will bring huge loss.As a result, it is practical significance that to develop the storage platform based on theStruts framework and B/S structure Unifing closely the network advantages and logisticsinformation.At present, the two areas of information management system and computer inventorycontrol system have developed fast in our country. However, the original system which hasbeen used are basically independent, doesn't only combine operations with informationmanagement closely, but also realizes the dynamic inputing and updating in the process ofoperations, thus affects the efficiency of the operation and the accuracy of MIS. So theexperts forecast that operating of the dynamic information management is a new directionin the future.Compared with domestic MIS, the foreign MIS is developing with advantage. With the development of economic globalization, the foreign companies take the lead to enter theChinese inland market, such as Microsoft, IBM, SUN, Sony Ericsson. These companiestransmit the information around the world through the Internet technology, and play the roleof macro-control to the subsidiary company. In addition, the bar code applicationtechnology has been widely used abroad in the warehouse MIS which reduces the manualinput, so that not only improves the operational efficiency, but also ensures the accuracy ofthe information, thus reduces human errors caused by the loss. The application of bar codetechnology for warehouse management is an inevitable trend of development for themodernization warehouse management.This article thoroughly describes the theories and technologies related with the Strutsframework and JSP, and provids the necessary theoretical basis to constructing the commonwarehouse MIS. It includs the introduction of MVC model I and Model II; the architectureof the Struts framework; the work flow of the Struts framework; the disposition of the coremodule in Struts framework and the advantages in using the Struts framework, and so on.The designing of the system mainly focus on the two core functions: foreground receptionmanagement and background warehouse management, emphasizing on the versatility of thewarehouse information management and the integration of the system flow. By thepopedom the warehouse management module is divided into: the warehouse operators, thewarehouse manager, the warehouse director. The responsibility of the warehouse director ismanagement and supervision for the system. The responsibility of the warehouse managersis management for the cargo quantity and the report form, the responsibility of thewarehouse operators is statistics for the cargo evidence sending from the foreground.The system developed with MVC pattern. Through the using of the Struts frameworkand B/S structure, it realized the complete separation of the foreground application andbackground operation logic. Control, logic and appearance can be distinguished clearly inthe Struts framework, so as to it is simplify that the Web development based on MVC. Andthe class in Struts frameword can make the development work to be simple; the custom tagstorehouse makes the fundation and the confirmation of HTML form more easily.Regardless of how to change the foreground, the model only needs little modification andthe changes in DataBase will not affect foregrounding. It greatly enhanced the reusabilityfor the application system, so that the system becomes be easier to maintain. The main function of JSP is to simplify the process of construction and managementof the dynamic homepage.It is based on Servlet technology, and having been improved inany aspects. Taking advantage of JavaBean module acrossing platform operation, JSP hasprovided the remarkable solution for the separation processing logic and developmentenvironment, also creates a special development environment for highly dynamic Web. Dueto the acrossing platform characteristic, Tomcat based on Java also has the samecharacteristic. Not only Tomcat is a servlet container, it also has the tradition function forWeb server. In fact, the development based on Tomcat is mainly Jsp and Servlet,it can usethe ordinary text editor or IDE, and then pack it to WAR. This system is realized under theWindows OS, development language is JSP, the Web server is Tomcat 6.0, and the DataBase is Oracle9i.In the final stage, the system was tested, and the system's safety and practicality wereanalyzed and proposed how to improve the program, then completed the final design of thesystem of functional requirements. Through the system construction, the competitivenessof the network is perfected, the standardization of the information management isstrengthened, and the efficiency and accuracy of the information management is improved,so it realized the formalization and the informationization for the business management, andimproved the comprehensive competitive power for the enterprise.
