The Design And Development Of Online Examination System On The College Course

With the rapid development and application of Internet/Intranet technology, as a means of evaluation of education, examination is experiencing a leap of changes of non-paper and networking exam. Online examination system is a software system developed of taking the advantage of the computer science and network technology. It makes a fully use of Web resource and brings advantage very much to students, teachers and principal of some subject. At the same time it provides a powerful support to the innovation of education.This system is constructed based on B/S model and J2EE architecture, open-source operating system Linux, MySQL and with the Eclipse as the developing tool. The MVC Model and the methods of OOP is adopted in the developing process. The system designed in this paper has many advantages of stability, availability, maintainability, good scalability, portability and low cost in deployment.In the paper, the intention and the meaning of the research is discussed in the first, then the domestic and abroad status quo of the exam system and the lack of them is analyzed. The technologies correlated with the implementation of the system are discussed subsequently. This text specifies the livelong process, including requirement analyze, system design, design in detail.The key problems of technology to design and implement the system are discussed and resolved. In accord with the characteristics of multi-constraint-condition problem solving in sheet generation algorithm s, the concept of recursion cost is brought in and an intelligent sheet generation algorithm that produces the minimum recursion cost is given, in the hope of reducing the number of invalid sheet generation and minimizing system overhead. As a factor affected the system performance, the mathematics model of the sheet generation algorithm is analyzed. The algorithm solidifies the validity of its own by giving a priority to questions with the minimum recursion cost.The MVC patterns are adopted as design idea of the online examination system.The Javabeans components are also adopted in the design in the system, the Bean is used to store the information of the students, the test paper and the answers for the purpose to reduce the codes in the JSP pages. The system designed in this paper has many advantages of generality, good scalability, favorable security and maintainability.
