With the growing concern about energy issues, energy conservation is an inevitable trend. Most of China's energy is consumed by high power and high-voltage AC motors; such high-voltage motors are widely used in fans, pumps and other equipments, most of these motors are run with constant speed control, and adjust speed through other process equipment to meet the technical requirements. This results in energy waste.AC variable frequency control currently is a major technology to save energy, improve the process and product quality, improve the environment and to promote technological progress; That high voltage inverters drive high voltage motors, is recognized as the most promising approach in domestic and abroad and accepted by most users.In this paper, high-voltage inverter topology and AC motor control are the content of the study; Principle, advantages and disadvantages of various of topology and motor control in-depth analysis and research; The harmonic and axis current of high voltage inverter in application are in-depth study; Cell cascaded multi-level high voltage inverter is studied in detail include of rectification, topology and PWM control algorithm; Finally, establishing cell cascaded high voltage inverter MATLAB model simulates the application of high voltage inverter in steel project.
