| The progress of science and technology impels the development of economy and society, and then the scientific and technological information service is more important. The network-based information service becomes one of main methods of modern information service with the development of the Internet. It was actively developed to construct the scientific and technological information network. The networks play an important role in the popularization and development of scientific and technological, as well as the technological conversion and innovation of enterprises. However, there are also some problems, such as resource separation, repeated construction and so on. The users have to obtain the information from a large amout of web sites. The most of these sites are not fit to the demands of users, resulting in the feedback of a great deal useless information. At the same time because the mode of information supplied is inactive, the users are not so satisfied. It is adverse to spread information in time.In order to solve these problems, this paper presents Personalized Scientific and Technological Information Service System Based on RSS. The system applies personalized service technology to processing scientific and technological information resources, and publishes information using RSS, provides the users with the information channel subscribed, pushing the information subscribed to the users timely. As well as the system utilizes RSS to aggregate scientific and technological information resources, so the users do not need to enter many web sites to obtain the information. The major works are as follows:(1) Personalized Scientific and Technological Information Service System Based on RSS is presented, according to the disadvantages of scientific and technological information service platform, architecture and function of which are described.(2) The key technology of personalized information service is analyzed, and Vector Space Model is used to present the user model and resources, and similarity is calculated to recommend the information.(3) The application of RSS is analyzed. The information is published using RSS. The RSS reader is developed.(4) This system is implemented using the related technology. Personalized Scientific and Technological Information Service System Based on RSS aggregates the existing scientific and technological knowledge resources, enhancing the quality of information service by means of personalized service, active and timely mode of information supplied, and the interaction of users. Personalized Scientific and Technological Information Service System Based on RSS is a new attempt about construction of information service platforms, which will be helpful to the development of such platforms. |
