| As the upgrade of the demands of family information, the concept of "Digital Home" has conceived. Residential gateway equipment, which lies at the core of Digital Home architecture, is the bridge that can connect the Home Networking with external networks, and it is also the crucial component of Home Networking operations and applications.Residential Media Gateway, as the implementation of RG equipment, is based on MoIP. It can support various applications, as IP Sharing, Firewall, VoIP Residential Gateway, Multimedia Conference, Family AV Center, etc. Multimedia Conference function satisfies the users'requirements of communicating faster, more accurately and more richly. And with the rapid development of the hardware and the network transmission technology, the extensive use of multimedia conferencing comes to the stage practically.This thesis firstly introduces the relevant protocols and key technologies about the RG. Then, by analyzing the existing multimedia conference frameworks, an end-to-end independent audio mixers multimedia conference framework is designed. After the framework design, this thesis describes the overall system architecture of conference module, and the designs of the control, signaling and transport modules. At last the implementation of the software, the interface between each module, and the detail call process are described for each meeting participants.The innovation of the thesis lies in combining the advantages of SIP (Session Initiate Protocol) and Media Gateway Control Protocol, putting forward an innovative and unique design pattern of digital multimedia conference system. This system can avoid the interdependence between the terminals. Besides, it has the advantages of high resource utilization, fast terminal access, and easy implementation etc. The multimedia conference system yet has some shortages such as the lack of managing functions and limit on user numbers, the further R&D is required consequently. |
