| The level and scale of scientific research in the institution of higher learning are increasingly becoming an important index of appraising the comprehensive strength of institutions. With the incessant domestic investment to institutions of higher education, the level of scientific research management is paid more and more attention. The tradition handcrafts measure and the measure with the help of official software such as MS Excel, not only cost a large amount of time and manpower but also bring a series of serious problem, such as not convenient in inquiring information, lowly data sharability etc.. It's urgent to develop a suitable management system to improve the efficiency of scientific research management in the institution present.One general fully-function scientific research management system for universities is developed in this thesis. It is composed of eight subsystems: project management, funds management, production management, award management, patent management, paper, monograph and journal information management, user management, and system management. This system basically meets the requirement of institution and scientific research department, and effectively realizes the omni-bearing information management and completely controlling from application, examine and verify, inspect rate of progress and evaluation.In this thesis, the develop procedure of scientific research management system is investigated using the unified modeling language (UML). Firstly, a approach to requirement analysis based on UML is presented, and proposed the composite structure of requirement analysis for the scientific research management system; Secondly, the application of UML to the whole process of the system requirement modeling, system analysis and design is discussed and analyzed, and gave the composite structure, functions module and the deployment of the scientific research management system. Finally, the particular realization of this system is described. |
