With exploding increase of digital data and continuously improvement of applicant requirement, traditional network storage systems face a large challenge in capability, performance, scalability, security and Quality of Service (QoS). Object-based storage is considered as the next generation standard of network storage. How to design the client file system, with high performance and advantage of object, fulfills the increasing requirement of cluster and the next generation network, becomes a new research topic.Huge Object-based Storage System (HOSS) is composed of Metadata Server, Object Storage Device (OSD), Client File System (CFS) and interconnected network. In HOSS, with distributing architecture, object data are distributed on OSDs and shared by all clients with high-speed interconnected network, its'consistency guarantee is one of key technologies for CFS. For this mission, the concurrency control subsystem of CFS provides a strong control method to ensure consistency in the process when multi-clients access object data concurrently, integrates the characters of HOSS, introduces object-based distributing lock with ideal performance indicated by testing result.Object interface gives a new chance for HOSS to support QoS, the extensibility of object makes it easy for client to deliver QoS requirement and OSD to accept and understand QoS requirement. Basing on the quantify analysis of QoS requirement, OSD builds a QoS software model framework, CFS configures the QoS requirement then exchanges QoS requirements with OSD.
