As the fast development of communication and networking technology and science semiconductor, the Internet is becoming popular in the area of industry control and embedded system. Widely usage of TCP/IP networking overcomes the problem of information exclusion and realizes information exchange directly between the local facilities, management information network and Internet. Moreover, it provides a better platform and enhances the manufacture and management of the enterprise. It has become a hotspot and popular trend in area of monitoring and control of industry.The beginning of this article introduces the three kinds of remote monitor and controlling modules and its development, and the concepts, features, applications and classes of embedded system. Associating with the practical applications, the work flow for developing a embedded system has been put forward, which is the direction for the whole design and development processes. The following is about Internet technology, TCP/IP and HTTP protocols used in network communication technology and the usage of HTML.Based on the theories above, analyzing the combination of the embedded system with Internet technology together and elaborating the connection of the embedded system and network, the design thought comes out which is that puts embedded server technology into the monitor and controlling system. Each local facility is configured to a small server which can collect data, report information and receive the commands from remote explore to control the devices. Because of using TCP/IP protocol, the system is very open, easy to use and provides the good quality guarantee for the long distance communication.Finally, some principles for design embedded system hardware and software is put forward. Based on these principles, Rabbit 2000 CPU which is the product from Rabbit Semiconductor Inc. in USA is selected as the core of the system and its features and its development software - Dynamic C is accommodated. During the design for the fermenter remote monitor and controlling system processes, the system functional models and their relationship is confirmed, and the flow charts for software and the ways for connecting to network is designed based on the control requirement. The configuration for embedded Web server and Email server is followed.This embedded monitor and controlling system uses the network technologies to implement the data collection, the processing parameter real-time monitoring and maintaining and the alarm information reporting in the control for fermenter production process. When it applies in the industrial production, the cost of manufacture and maintain is saved and the economic benefit is promoted.
