In this dissertation, an Embedded Remote Elevator Monitor System Based on Internet (REMS) is proposed as well as designed. This system is developed based on high performance embedded MPU and embedded Real-Time OS, by which we can monitor all status information of elevators throughout the world through Internet.In chapter 1, a comprehensive description about the research work' s significance, the current research status of remote elevator monitor system and embedded Internet technology is given.In chapter 2, the functions of REMS are discussed in detail. Automatic alarm and remote monitor by Internet are key functions.In chapter 3, a description about the hardware, programming environment and programming technique is given. The hardware is designed based on embedded MPU, while the software is designed based on RTOS.In chapter 4, the hardware and software design of REMS are discussed in detail. From the implementation, the software is composed of real-time task, network communication task, serial communication task, KeyBoard-LCD task and software loading task.In chapter 5, the main research conclusion is summarized. The prospect of further research work is also made.
