Design And Implement Of GPS Wireless Monitoring Terminal Based On Embedded Linux

The recent rapid growth in the number of motor vehicles,inevitably makes urban traffic pressure on the upsurge.How to monitor and supervise vehicles and the way to prevent cars from theft have been paid more and more attention.Wireless monitoring system,which integrates positioning technology,GIS technology and mobile communication technology,is an important component of ITS.It possesses so broad a market prospect that deserves further research in the traffic supervising field.The thesis expatiates the theories of wireless monitoring system and related technologies,and brings forward a design sketch of the terminal which utilizes the sophisticated existing wireless networks(GPRS/CDMA).The system mainly includes two modules:GPRS wireless transceiver module and B/S HCI module.GPRS wireless transceiver module includes four parts:1, transplantation of PPP dial-up programs.2,configuration of dial-up scripts.3,the multi-threaded synchronization mechanism serial-comm programing.4,wireless network communications between terminal and monitoring center.Human-Computer Interaction module is based on Boa Server,includes three parts:1,transplantation and configuration of Boa server.2,implement of CGI program.3,the design of HCI by HTML.The terminals runs on an embedded microprocessor and embedded Linux,which includes GPS receiver module,GPRS wireless data transceiver module and Human-Computer Interaction module based on Boa server.The design is accomplished on Red Hat Linux 9.0 operating system and Li Yutai ARMSYS2440 development platform,focusing on the implement of network communications.Software section was fullfilled by Linux C.With soild theory and material practice,the thesis gives a specific design and preliminary implement of the monitoring terminal.
