Mobile Ad Hoc network is a new generation of wireless communication network, and it is not a fixed base station or any infrastructure that can provide unconstrained mobile dynamic reconfigurable multi-hop wireless network. MANET network is flexible, efficient and does not have default network infrastructure, and it is fully distributed. It is applied extensively in the military , emergency rescue and other special circumstances .Since mobile Ad hoc network by the technical group facing many challenge, such as dynamic topology changes, the existence of one-way channel, limited wireless bandwidth capacity for mobile terminals, and so on. The routing protocol of the mobile Ad hoc network is particularly important to research.Multicast is a group committed to the calculation of communications-oriented mode of transmission, which uses a single purpose of the address to a group of host. The mobile Ad Hoc network has the intense bandwidth resources, the limited resources of the network system environment, multicast can effectively save bandwidth and reduce overhead of packet transmission and therefore has an important value. Now, in view of the characteristics of the network, a variety of multicast routing protocols has made, and has been made in a particular part of the agreement a wireless network in the small-scale experiment.This paper first analyses the mobile Ad Hoc network, research the characteristics, trends of the mobile Ad Hoc network and multicast necessity of the present several multicast routing protocols, and focused on the Multicast routing protocol mechanism of the MAODV multicast routing ,master routing principles of the protocol. followed establish the network simulation platform OPNET, focused on the OPNET ACE module functions, as well as the use of Modeler modeling methods, use the OPNET ACE module to optimize the response time of the FTP application and improve application performance. Through mastering the routing principle, use OPNET simulation software modeled for the mobile Ad Hoc network and structured the Multicast Routing Protocol simulation platform; final transplant the embedded Linux to ARM microprocessor, on the platform realize the MAODV multicast routing protocols.
