Chinese traditional medicine is one of precious deposits. The analysis of some famous herbalist doctors' experience can not only enrich the system of Chinese tranditional medicine (CTM), but also greatly improve it. And thus it is a vital task for our Chinese to learn and master the experience. During a long-period clinical diagnosis, the famous herbalist doctors accumulate a multiple many priceless experiences. Normally, these experiences are hiddened in such many clinical cases as to have to make use of powerful computers to extract them rather than only handworks. And thus our research focuses on how to mine the hidden information in the clinical cases by computer.Based on the clinical case of chronic gastricism, this paper presents some pre-processing methods on the original data, and extracts a little valuable information from the post-processed data by using the following three different data-mining methods: 1) by using the association-rule algorithm, we find the relations among symptoms, dialectical, therapy and the matching of CTM; 2) by using the improved association-rule algorithm, multiple groups of medicine hidden in clinical case are mined; 3) by using factorial anlysis, we anlysize the relation between symptoms and dialectical from the whole angle, got the relation graph bwteen chronic gastricism dialectical and symptoms. From the analysis of the result of the assosication rule and the information of medicine groups based on the knowledge of Chinese Traditional Medicine, we can learn that, those results not only accord with the traditional knowledge, but also represent the own experience of the famous herbalist doctor. In addition, the relationsip of the dialectical and symptoms also provides references to the diagnosis in Chinese Traditional Medicine. In sum, the result of this paper achieves the anticipant goal of this project.
