Today, as the incessant growth of the degree of enterprise informationization, the share of information resource between enterprises and their various departments is becoming more and more important. However, at different times and stages, the level and manner of informationization construction in every enterprise is very different. As a result, information systems run on different platforms (For example, different operating system and background database lead heterogeneous environments). So there are many difficulties when information systems exchange data. During the informationization construction process, how to achieve efficient data exchange between different information systems running under the heterogeneous environments are the key issues which must be resolved. The main tasks completed in this paper are the following aspects.Firstly, I was in-depth study of the existing solutions in the current data exchange field, analysed of the practical problems indwelling the current data exchange course. Based on the above work, I have designed a data exchange model composed of a data layer, an adaptation layer and a traffic layer.Secondly, in the context of Maritime Bureau VTSMIS (Vessel Traffic Service MIS) project, with the specific business logic of this project, I have applied the data exchange model to the VTS project and designed the VTS data exchange model.Thirdly, having been in-depth study of the JMS (Java Message Service) and XML (Extensible Markup Language) technologies, I used JMS and XML to design detailly and implemented the VTS data exchange model. For this model, the adaptation layer, as a core layer, mainly including the design and implementation of two modules, one is a data access/analysis module; the other is a JMS message service module. The data buffer/backup model completes the feature by calling the two core modules.Fourthly, I built the test environment, designed the test cases, and completed the deployment and the test of the VTS data exchange model. Based on the above actual work, this thesis provides an effective solution for the different systems of maritime information when exchanging data. Finally, for the problems existing in the performance optimization cases, I raised the proposed work in the next step.
