Research On Some Key Technologies For Java ME Program Testing Platform

Java ME(Java Micro Edition) is mainly used in embedded field.It is developed for those devices which use the limited energy,limited network connection(often a wireless connection) and the limited ability of the graphical user interface.It is mainly for the large of consumer electronic equipment and embedded devices in the market,because of the limited memory and processing power of these devices.Java ME technology doesn't only migrate the characteristic that Java language has nothing to do with platform to small electronic devices,but also allows sharing application among mobile wireless devices.With the extensive application of Java ME technology,Java ME testing technology becomes more and more important.Thus,it is currently a hot area of research to have high-quality testing and improve the development quality of software products in embedded field.In this paper,we have a detailed comparative analysis to the current several Java ME testing frameworks after understanding and studying the Java ME testing framework and then adopt the most suitable testing framework.On this framework,we complete some key technologies of installation of automatic test and test platform for the Java ME program on device.The paper completes the automated test of MIDlet,achieves a test module of MIDlet which can be well integrated into the NetBeans platform,and rebuild MIDlet projects into those test projects which can be supported by JT Harness to make the integration test for MIDlet become true through modifying and injecting code.The paper also completes recording and playback of events for life cycle.At the same time,the platform can receive a series of operations of users after starting the phone simulator and record related information(such as the names of keys,etc.) in text documents and then make the series of operations of users automatic playback according to the contents of text documents through injecting related code into the Java ME procedures.It is built by research and test.And finally the scheduled goal is achieved.
