Design And Impletation Of Automatic Fingerprint Identification System Based On DSP

The technology of identity identification is one of the key technologies which our country encouraged and developed as an emphases,and fingerprint-based identity identification technology is one of all biometrics identification technology, which is adopted widely. The conventional personal identification methods such as password, identity card and key are not satisfied to the need of modern society in security and convenience.The invariability and solitary of fingerprint produce warranty of fingerprint as a means for identification .It is becoming a fact with the development of image processing and pattern recognition technology.Most of traditional automatic fingerprint identification system is based on PC online application .Due to the quickly developing civilian market ,it is required to be easier to carry and use.It is applied increasingly in the civilian fields such as cars,web-access,banks,door access system and electron government.This thesis pays much attention to the use of fingerprint identification,and what we do sums up to four parts。Firstly,we refer to much of what other people have done about fingerprint identification technology, investigate its application trend and the existing problems,much about biometrics identification technology is also discussed.Secondly, the character of embedded technology and the character of embedded fingerprint identification technology are introduced ,and the problems and steps which will be met during developing this kind of system are also analyzed.Thirdly,an automatic fingerprint identification system based on DSP(Digital Signal Processor) is put forward,the whole system is optimized in view of price,processor performance and developing difficulty.Fingerprint sensor,power management and memory expansion are implemented detailedly.Finally,we propose a set of algorithm which is quite suitable to embedded system,and every stage of the whole algorithm is discussed in detail.Lots of experimental results show this system can be qualified to the requirement of fingerprint identification,and runs well.
