TV News Marches Toward The Optoelectronic Public Sphere

The dissertation on the concept of public sphere can be traced back to 200 years ago in Europe.However,Haberrmas,the representative of the renowned Frankfurt School,was the first person to expatiate the concept of public sphere. In terms of academic innovation,Haberrmas established the concept of "public communication space",which laid the foundation for social ideology.From his point of view,the history of human evolution can be considered as the history of human communication.In other words,the expansion of human society can be reflected in the form of incremental enrichment of human communication.From this perspective,mass media is the public communication space,which was created to meet the need of human communication.In addition,mass media is an important domain,which gives birth to social ideology.The desire of human communication on a face to face basis contributes to the creation and formation of medium in the process of maintaining human interaction in the ever-extending space.TV news,a major form of programmes, plays an important role in the formation of public voice.Facing the surging wave of digitalization of TV technology,the correlation between TV news and public sphere is arousing the attention of researchers focusing on the theory of medium. So far,the understanding of TV news programme remains in the level of onedimension and information recipients,neglecting the interactive function of public communication space.Based on the above-mentioned points,this paper points out that the formation of TV news programme is an ever-extending public communication space and the history of public communication activities,which is driven by various technology.Digital TV news programmes are building an optoelectronic public communication space aiming to mimic real-life human communication with the help of digital technology.This very public communication space features what Haberrmas has defined.Based on this,this paper deems that TV news programmes are building an unprecedented optoelectronic public sphere.The emergence of this optoelectronic public sphere will have far-reaching impacts on the way of life and contemporary ideology. This paper aims to answer the following three questions by means of linear logic methodology,which falls into the following three parts:What differences are there between TV news and optoelectronic public sphere.The answer is based on concrete definition of TV news and optoelectronic public sphere,which employs theoretical and comparative methodology.How TV news build optoelectronic public sphere,which employs theoretical,comparative and deductive methodology.Based on the above-mentioned two parts,this paper also analyses whether digital TV news can build optoelectronic public sphere,which employs theoretical,comparative and deductive methodology and epagoge.By means of above-mentioned logic deduction,this paper aims to provide a useful theory and practical model for the research on the formation of TV news on the condition of digital TV technology.
