Meta Object Protocol Of CERP Framework And Its Application In Inventory Management System

With rapid development of network technology and Internet, more and more enterprises want to construct their own web applications. The original Web development methods aren't suited to enterprise level applications development any longer, which have exposed a series of problems such as low reuse rate, maintenance difficulties, and low software productivity. Application framework can be achieved great granularity software reuse and solve the above problems effectively. With the merits of the prevailing framework, CERP (Active Cost Control based Enterprise Resource Planning) common application framework (CERP framework for short) which is reusable, configurable and portable is provided for developers. It can accelerate CERP application software system development speed and reduce software development and maintenance costs.This dissertation focuses on researching the communication mechanism of CERP framework. It is the basic part of CERP framework and is used for data interaction among presentation layer, business logic layer and data source layer. Its performance directly affects the overall framework. Meanwhile, this dissertation implements the communication mechanism with some technologies including component technology, design pattern, object relation mapping and xml. After finishing the communication mechanism, this dissertation designs and implements an inventory management system using this framework.In the aspect of communication mechanism, the system structure of CERP framework is analyzed, meanwhile, the emphases, advantages and disadvantages of now several popular typical frameworks and theirs communication mechanism are compared. Then, this dissertation brings forward Meta Object Protocol as the communication mechanism of CERP framework. Meta Object Protocol is the integration and interaction rule between the base level and the meta level. This dissertation presents the function, the content, the format and the interface definition of Meta Object Protocol, and describes Meta Object Protocol using Z language which is a kind of formal specification language. Meanwhile, this dissertation clarifies the advantages of Meta Object Protocol such as modifiability, scalability, reusability, database independence, clear code structure, and designs and implements it finally.In the aspect of application, an inventory management system is designed and developed using CERP framework with Meta Object Protocol, meanwhile, Meta Object Protocol is validated, perfected and optimized. Through the analysis about application effect, it further proves the advantages of Meta Object Protocol. Meta Object Protocol satisfies the CERP application software development requirements completely, and has high practicality and good application prospect.
