Workflow can execute and monitor the business activities by dividing them into well-defined tasks, roles, rules and procedures. As a result, workflow can achieve the aim at improving the organization level of business and work efficiency, and provide an advanced method for enterprises to carry out their business goals more effectively. Migrating workflow is anew technology applying mobile computing to workflow management. According to migrating workflow technology, several migrating instances complete workflow by migration and coordination, and each one implements a sub-process of the workflow.The three essential components of a migrating workflow system are migrating workflow management engine, migrating instance and the workplace. The management engine is in charge of workflow procedure definition, migrating instance's generation and the coordination of many migrating instances. The workplace refers to the anchorage server and work-machine network. And the network is the service provider to the migrating instance, the service provided to the workflow can be classified into automatic service and manual service, accordingly, the working location can also be divied into settled nodes and mobile nodes. The setting nodes are the services provider in settled places, while the mible nodes are the services provider in un-settled nodes. When the working location is a mobile node, the task-slice table shouble be delivered to the working location correctly, and through mutual communication the task can be executed and finished.According to the conceptual model and reference architectureof the miagrating workflow, we specificly discussed and designed the method of supporting mobile user in migrating workflow. Firstly, we described the present status of mobile user and then introduce the notion of Mobile User, and then designed a kind of architecture of the serving middleware which can support mobile users. In this middleware, we transform the user-end configuration to XML document, by this way , we can visit the mobile user transparently, and also handled the break-point going on running problem. Then in the next part we implement an example of migrating application—Mobile Office, e.g., developing platform, communication module, and mobiling oreitaion. And based on the implementation, we improve the executing environment in the user-end basing on the BREW platform, which can support big-text-edition. In this way, the Mobile User end can be more flexible. The result shows that this design can support the mobile user reliably and high-efficiently. And the supporting mobile user probleme can be settled.
