Design And Realization Of Multi-picture Display In Digital Television

As the wide viewing-angle and large screen DTV (Digital Television) been accepted by Chinese families, watching programs through multi-window became an exigent demand by people. This project aims at the actual demand when use Large Screen DTV. It is discussed mainly to satisfy the demand to watch more than one picture and to decrease the cost of this feature.The development of DTV theory provides a wider space for the process of send, transmit, and receive TV signal. In the field of digital receiving, it makes video process much easier and cheaper than that in traditional analogical ways. With digital video stunt, TV watchers can watch clearer pictures and the picture structure and display result is more interesting.This project bases on modern DTV theory and Digital stunt ideas. Though analyzing the formation principle which including the compression, quantization, storage of sub-picture and the inserting principle, this project realized not only PIP(picture in picture), but also POP(picture out of picture),PAP(picture and picture),nine-picture, sixteen-picture and pictures of different size combination. Further more, through soft control, we also achieved sub-pictures of different figures such as rotundity, ellipse, trapezoid, and diamond est. It not only reserved the main content of sub-picture, but also avoid the shading of key information (such as channel mark, program notices est.) in main picture by the corner of sub-picture.The core of this paper is to tell that how to realize multi-window display in theory and the way to product high F/P (Function/Price) multi-window display system .This paper is based on the active using and bring out and realize the multi-window display system in DTV field according to the modern DTV theory and Digital stunt ideas.
