The ASON (Automatically Switched Optical Network) as a new OSN (Optix Switch Network), is gradually known by people due to its huge development space and potential. This paper expounds the ASON of inevitability carried on full treatise. In coparison to traditional OSN, the introduction of ASON in communication network is completely viable. In the meantime the introduction of ASON in communication network have to meet and to solve eight problems, such as the agreement definition of the standard unifies, the interconnected network , the allied mutual communication, the smooth stripe of equipments, the network safety, the network programming etc. For leading smoothly into the ASON, man has to study its key technique and core agreement. This text mainly studies four key technique arguments, i.e. the automatical exchange light DCN in the ream technique, ASON network of the believing of network, RSVP-TE agreement, the ASON road agreement according to OSPF. By research, we can understand the work principle, the protection of thorough ASON net and the recovery mechanism etc.Nowaday, the standard of the ASON equipments and the development circumstance of the equipments and the each equipment factory house standard hadn't been unified. Only a few war signal companies have oneself development of ASON equipments, but the price is very expensive. So the telecommunication operators inside the country haven't adopted the ASON equipments to carry on a large-scale set a net. Based on the present condition of the built up large-scale delivery net according to the MSTP SDH city area, I put forward the programme from the existing network to the solution of ASON smooth transition: making use of the existing equipments up, leading into the ASON equipments. In addition, according to MSTP city area net with two layers of fusions of ASON nets, the viability assessment on the exchange function is analyzed.Through the analytical existing network loads of the business type, the service grade, the present condition of equipments, the way of the emulation set net is put forward, ASON network model is built up. According to the distribute type calculation way's instauration to ASON net mechanism and the network existence analysis, a programming of ASON and maintenance must have the strong backstage of the management software so as to complete the protection roads from the calculation, the automatic detection, the business installs in advance etc. Three kinds of programming project of ASON networks are proposed carried and their merits and shortcomings are compared. Finally, an outlook to the development of ASON net is presented. With the development of the equipments, the standard, the backstage, the ASON net will be widely used by the large-scale company in 2-3 years.
