Study On Wiring Harness/Cable Testing Software System Based On Virtual Equipment

Wiring harness/cable is widely used as the link in all kinds of arm systems, especially in the aero and space fields. During the designing, manufacturing, assembling, repairing and maintaining of weapons, we must test the connectivity, insulation and impedance intensity of the cables. The task of wiring harness/cable testing plays a vitally important role in ensuring national defense.Based on virtual equipment and computer technology, this proposal developed a software for wiring harness/cable testing on Lab Windows/CVI. Different testing methods, specially designed for different testing parameters, can compare the return data with the original ones and give out whether the technical parameters of the cables are qualified or not. Main jobs:i. Complete the software system of wiring harness/cable testing based on the research on the testing methods used at home and abroad.ii. Realize the data connection between Lab Windows/CVI and Office Access successfully. It is convenient for users to search, find, analyze and process data.iii. Resolve the problems of the instability of the return data and the system specifications by using built-in data gathering technology based on PC/104 bus and digital filter.iv. Put on the new function of data automatic test and real-time correction, reducing the rate of mistakes by hand input and ensuring the reliability of the data.v. Construct a process of software inspection. Wiring harness/cable system itself can be analyzed and the reason why error occurred is given out.Once this testing system is developed and adopted by users, it can solve the problem of the maintenance and repair of DC power supplies of all kinds and provide new methods of testing for weapon development and maintenance.
