The Design And Application Of The Railway Rolling Stock Management Information System

"The railway rolling stock management information system (shortened as HMIS)"is supervised by the reforming strategy and information implementation plan of the railway Ministry. It is fitted to the requirement of rolling stock's reformation and technology development. By making use of the existing information resource and infrastructure, the HMIS aims to improve the managing efficiency of rolling stocking technology and the level of information implementation.This thesis introduces the process of HMIS'whole layout and program design. The HMIS is based on computer and internet technology. The maintaining process of rolling stock,data logistic connection,program structure are analyzed systematically, and the uniform projecting criterion and data dictionary are designed. The feasibility of the HIMS is evaluated in terms of management,technology, and economy. Then the data import and export, data statistics, and data query are designed regarding their functions,capabilities,resources,circumstances,security and reliability. The system adopts advanced design strategy, and is aligned with the technologic request, and achieves a good share of data. It has many characteristics such as the easy operation, stability, convenient maintenance, and so on. It satisfies requirements of the rolling stock departments.The HMIS carries out the objectives in"The tenth 5-year railway information building layout"issued by the railway Ministry, and support the requirements of Ministry, bureau, and rolling stock departments by employing computer, internet, and communication technology. It realizes the goals of information sharing , process controlling, and layer responsibility management. The maintaining date of every car from birth to death form the database of rolling stock information, which achieves the rolling stock managing standardization,real time data processing and logic integrity, good information sharing,data analyses by rule and line. It provides comprehensive information server and technology support for macroscopically decision-making,manufacture arrangement,controlling quality and corporation development of railway.
