In this dissertation, we design an all-solid-state qusi-continuous Ti:sapphire laser with wide tuning range based on all-solid-state qusi-continuous Ti:sapphire laser, and we validate the theory of gain-switch. We research on the matching parameters of crystals BBO,LBO and PPLN with birefringent-phase-matching as the theoretical basis. We use BBO as the nonlinear material to design the all-solid-state Ti:sapphire ue-light laser, and do some research on inner-cavity double frequency output of high power Ti: sapphire laser.So far, Ti: sapphire laser has the widest tunable range in red and infrared wave band in solid-state tunable lasers, which has many important applications in many fields.The gain-switched character show us a way to obtian Ti:sapphire pulse with narrow pules-width and high power peak value. Extening the tunable wavelength range by optical frequency conversion such as SHG will improve the performance of Ti:sapphire laser.High quality and tuanable Ti:sapphire output is obtained by the research of pump source optimization and the character of gain-switch is researched.We designd the inner-cavity double frequency Ti:sapphire laser using BBO SHG crystal, and the maximum output is 2.2W, leading to optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 75.9%. It is an important nonlinear optical frequency conversion technology, and useful for a variety of military, scientific, and commercial applications.We mainly do some experiements as follow:1. Researches on all-solid-state Ti:sapphire laser pumped by inner-cavity double frequency Nd:YAG laser. An all-solid-state qusi-continuous Ti:sapphire laser output with wide wavelength tuning range from 680nm to 950nm has been demonstrated, using single prism.With a power of 23W, the maximum Ti:sapphire output power is 5 W.2. We do some theoretical calculation basing on the theory of gain-switch. After that, we validate it by experiments.With a pump power of 23A and the Q-swith repeat frequency of 7.5 kHz, we get a resort of 13.2ns narrow pulse-width output.3. We use BBO as the SHG crystal to design an inner-cavity double frequency Ti: sapphire laser for blue-light. We obtin the output with a maximum power of 2.2W with a pump power of 21.5A, and the optical-to-optical conversion efficiency is 75.9%...
