Along with the quickly increase of the world population, water resource gets more and more precious than before. Water pollution becomes increasingly serious. Now more and more people pay much attention to the municipal waste water. After treatment , we can get the reclaimed water. It is an economic way for us to maintain development. Nowadays membrane separation is the common method for deep treatment of water. Reverse osmosis is one of them .The pre-treatment is crucial for RO. If the inlet water is not qualified, the RO system can not run normally. So we use the SDI to evaluate the qualification of the inlet water of the RO system. According to the problem of the test method of the SDI, we design a new method instead of the old. It can get the data automatically. Decrease the measuring error and increase the accuracy. The main parts of SDI device conclude the MCS-51 of ATMEL company and flux meter. We design singlechip system, power system, watchdog system ,display system of LCD, software etc. After a series of trial, we develop the device finally. The device is accurate and has friendly interface.The intelligent device meets the need of the market. It operates easily and has the virtue of accuracy. It is the first time that we develop it in the domestic market.
