The article introduces several methods to treat the Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia(BPH) and has reviewed the latest research of it in recent years.We can draw a conclusion: Photoselective Vaporization of the Prostate (PVP) is an important method to curing Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). We show the special superiority of using 532nm Green Light to curing Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia(BPH) with the method of Photoselective Vaporization of the Prostate (PVP).The treatments to BPH are as follow: TURP,VLAP,HOLEP and PVP . PVP is the best method for BPH. The 532nm green laser has many strongpoints for curing the BPH such as: very high power density on the tissue, so, the treatment can deal with the prostate any shape and size. Furthermore, the laser beam can come into a very thin concretionary tissue withine 1~2mm, which it can stanch effectively. Using PVP technique, the operation time gets shorter, so, the patients do not need to being in hospital and suffering less comparatively.This article introduces Photoselective Vaporization of the Prostate (PVP) and the key component in this equipment --Green Laser system systematically. Besides,we also have designed the optical lens system and optimized the effect of astigmation, the experiment is well with the calculated result. We also introduce how to put this technology into pratice-the clinical application.
