Laser-diode(LD) pumped solid-state lasers have become a focus in the field of lasers due to their advantages of high efficiency ,long lifetime, compactness and high stability. This dissertation has made theoretical and experimental researches around high-power all-solid-state CW green Laser of LD side-pumped Nd:YAG/KTP.The first part is introduction: The advantages and developments of LD pumped solid-state-lasers are summarized. Green laser's applications and obtained methods are classified. At last present development of LD pumped all-solid-state green lasers in the word is introduced.The second part is theoretical analysis: Basing on the space-dependent four-level rate equation theory , threshold power, output power and slope efficiency of solid-state lasers are obtained; By solving coupling wave equation of frequency doubling, the expression of second harmonic's power and frequency doubling efficiency are gained, the method and significance of phase matching are discussed, the formulae of intracavity frequency theory doubling are deduced; Furthermore, the structure stabilization and delicacy of resonant cavity are analyzed; Some comparison is made among the five laser crystals (Nd:YAG,Nd:YVO4,Nd:GdVO4,Nd:YLF and Nd:YAP)and among the three nonlinear crystals (LBO,BBO and KTP), in addition to, heat effect in Nd:YAG and the phased-matched properties of KTP and LBO are especially discussed.The third part is experimental researches: The experiment of a LD side-pumped all-solid-state high-power Nd:YAG/KTP green laser is demonstrated. LD pump module is composed of nine 20W laser diode arrays ,which has maximum pump power of 180W.Using a KTP crystal ( type II critical phase-matching),the highest power of 21.3W CW green laser is obtained with 22.5A pumping current, the optical-optical (1064nm-532nm)conversion efficiency is 42.6%. Finally, the high-power all-solid-state CW green Laser of LD side-pumped Nd:YAG/KTP is developed.The last part is the summarization and prospect of the paper.
