With the development of information society, people’s life tends to be more convenientand intelligent. How to build an efficient and low-cost Smart Home System so as toprovide a comfortable, simple and safe life environment now becomes a hot topic.The thesis aims at realizing the Intelligent Home. At first, ARM will decode theInfrared Remote Controller, we call it "study". Then, the decoded information will betransferred to the Android phone via Bluetooth, and the function of Remote controller willbe mapped on the Android phone. At last, we can control household appliances via usingthe phone to send commands which can control ARM to send the infrared signal. Now, wecan control the appliances with just a phone. In addition, when we have finished studying,we can upload this information to the server. Base on this, other users who have installedthe software on their Android phones can download the information, and they do not needto study the Infrared Remote controller again.At present, only the specific infrared codes can be decoded. However, the differentappliance usually uses the different standard. In this system, author use the specialdecoding way, which can successfully decode all of the household Infrared Remotecontrollers.The system changes the traditional way that is one-to-one correspondence between theremote controller and the appliance, and all of functions can be learned into Android phone.Just one phone can do what the controllers do, which will make the operation of appliancebe simple, efficient and intelligent. In a word, the system will greatly improve the qualityof people’s life.
