The recoding archives of architectural heritage are the most important and essential conditions for the study and conservation of it. Some western countries had already built up rounded management of archives for heritage protection since long time ago, and had transferred to organized those profiles and data by computer in 1990s which make it available to share information through internet based on different systems such as digital archive system, GIS, and so on. But for some reasons, the heritage information management in China is still not good enough to cope with the increasing of massive information and the variation of production form, and it is totally unable to fulfill the requirements of scientific research, management, project, education and propaganda affiliated with heritages. And the information data are still scattered, out-of-order and hardly to be used and shared. So there's no time to delay to set up specific institution to build up normative, positive and effective information management systems facing at different requirements in the recording work by using information technology. The advices for the construction of information management in the situation of China are proposed based on the summarizing of the architectural heritage recoding works had been taken, and especially on the states of information management in the past and now. The frame of information management serving for architectural heritage study is build up, and tested by the examples of Beihai Park and Longevity Hill in the Summer Palace in the using on landscape garden, group of buildings and individual building, relied on the resource and advantage in architectural heritage recording work of Tianjin University. And the information search and management of recording archives and the heritage itself are implemented or partly implemented by utilizing GIS and Network. It is hoped that the status that information archives are disordered, and have handicap in using and sharing could be changed so as to facilitate the study and protection of Chinese architectural heritage.
