Texture synthesis has been extensively investigated by both computer vision and computer graphics communities during the past twenty years. However, the input and output are normally 2D intensity texture images..Up till now,it has been so far development.The 3D Texture Synthesis deals with 3D texture synthesis and editing under different illumination and viewpoint conditions. It works on representation data extraction, analysis, synthesis and texture rendering. 3D surface Texture Representation and synthesis of Based on wavelet Transform is an important sub-area within the 3D Texture Synthesis and Editing. It will play an important role in 3D texture editing.In this thesis, we first introduced Wavelet analysis has a certain effect method of transform domain, only shone on 36 original pictures, used Wavelet foundation to analyze,transform the pictures. After resolving each picture , each pixel all become 62 coefficients, so each picture has 128* 128* 62 coefficients which are use to return to a diagram. Representing with the wavelet and changing into 11 wavelet coefficient portraits. Then we proposed our 3D texture synthesis method based on 2D texture synthesis method. Carrying on the 3D surface texture synthesis, relighting synthesized 11 wavelet coefficient diagrams. The chapter 6 of the article tests some results .Proved that 3D surface Texture Representation and synthesis of based on wavelet Transform algorithm with stronger anti- mutation ability and stability.
