People now pay more and more attention on health, and aerobic fitness equipment has become increasingly concerned about. Traditional training method is a single boring exercise, so combining embedded technology with the fitness equipment is becoming evident, which would also increase people's training enthusiasm.In the integration of the embedded technology and the fitness equipment,MCU, which is the representative of low cost and high reliability, has always been widely used. It's mature technology but lack of recreation, interaction and expansibility. This paper mainly focuses on developing of control system based on ARM embedded technology, making use of its advantage in high integration, programmable logic, graphics, image processing, and network combine ARM and fitness equipment together and taking video application to the system , with a friendly touch screen makes the equipment more interactive and expansive.This paper first discusses ways of developing the control system, and ultimately chooses the ARM-based hardware development platform and WinCE system which could meet the high-performance processing requirements, and select Samsung S3C2440 as a control chip, then the main function modules are confirmed.This papers focus on completing control software and hardware circuit design of the system. Using ARM as the core, combining with the peripheral circuits and special the hardware circuit of the whole system is developed. In the control software researching procedures .We complete the integration of video and characters, multi-path switching of input and output, serial communications, movement parameters of acquisition and display, etc .Another important phase is the customization of the WinCE system under Plantform Builder develop system , including design, create, compile, test and debug, and finally generate BSP, complete the various hardware development board debugging tasks, well, it support the human-machine interface and LAN set up functions.Finally under the result of the program, we analyze the property of the system , and make a preview of the next research.
