As the economy is developing, the demand of the industrial detonators is also growing. So there is a higher demand to the detonator production line. Implementation of the automated detonator production line can not only increase the efficiency of the production, but also substantially improve security. The electrical engineering institute in Xinjiang University researches and develops automatic control system of the detonator loading line, which uses the pneumatic control to solve the problems of the automatic control in the pyrotechnics industry and has been put into using at home and abroad. Through nearly three years, the running result shows that there are still some shortcomings. At present, pneumatic control uses the way of the aerodynamic damping to adjust the speed of implementing agencies; this open-loop approach can not respond the changing conditions and take full advantage of the maximum speed of the cylinder, which affects production efficiency of the entire system. Communication structure of detonator production line needs to be improved to enhance the reliability of real-time monitoring.In this paper, according to the actual needs of the detonator production line, the optimization of the pneumatic control and on-site communication is studied.Firstly, this paper analyzes the working principle of the cylinder movement, makes the optimal control scheme of the shortest time, establishes a mathematical model in accordance with the movement of subparagraph control, uses MATLAB to program and calculate the exercise time and the trajectory of the cylinder. According to the datum from mathematical models of the pneumatic control, this paper analyzes the feasibility of data in the pneumatic control system, and completes the design of the software and the hardware about control system, which has a certain significance to optimization of the pneumatic control system.Secondly, on the basic of the characteristics of VB Serial communication and the free port communication, this paper studies communication process and the means of the communication between the IPC and multi-PLC. This paper programs and calculates the time of the communication between PC and multi-PLC in different structure of the communication, and analyzes and compares with the time of the communication and the advantages and the disadvantages of different structure of the communication. Finally, the on-site communication scheme designed, and a reasonable communication research result is applied to the practice, which gets good result.
