The Postal Banking & Securities System (PBSS) is a new cooperation pattern between Post (Saving) and Security Companies. According to the practical situation, in the thesis we have proposed and realized a Banking & Securities System, which is based on the multilayer network structure. The system can meet all kinds of complicated service request through simple systematic allocation and adding proper functional module, which can be choiced from appointed hardware platform. Following the design of post comprehensive network and financial network, an application platform is built by making use of the message-switch technique. The platform has a three-layer structure and can span over several software platform, database and operation system. The intensive treating model and multilayer network structure are utilized in both the design and development of the system. Networking scheme of this system is not only fulfilled the functions but also considered about the present situation of the technology and the security of the network system. It employs the advanced workflow message queue technique, component truss technology, intermediate technique and the strong network function of UNIX. Because of the above reasons, the system offer regional business service at lower cost.This thesis has put its empasis on the application server of PBSS. The application server is the core of the PBSS, which consists of access processing module, business treating module, system controlling module, agreement transition module and cost payment boot module. The server can accomplish the complete dealing business of PBSS through analyzing the request, determining the execution strategy and coordinating the various functional modules. The database system independently runs the large-scale relation or object database (such as ORACLE), and data storage entity. Shareholder can handle their business through online exchange service. The network interface between the stockjobber, post 185/183 business system and the core section is connected by firewall and route indicator.PBSS has been successfully applied to the Post Office more than 1,000 outlets in Hunan Province, after more than two years of production operation, the system running smoothly, fully meet the actual needs of the postal system. That rational structure of the system, using advanced technology, has good practical significance.
