Chamfering machine is one of the main equipment in the equipment of pipe production line, the role of it used to chamfer the inside and outside of pipe. Chamfering machine is a concentration of electrical and mechanical integration in the complex machine tool equipment, the control of the axial feed is the core problem. Based on the practical problems, in this paper, analyse the hydraulic servo control system of chamfering machine. According to hydraulic and mechanical parameters of chamfering machine, analyse the servo valve, the hydraulic cylinder and the load transfer function, finally, the mathematics model of hydraulic servo position-feedback system is established.According to the working process and location control of chamfering machine, using Advantech's IPC with data acquisition card design and complete the computer hardware control system of chamfering machine. Using C language with incremental PID algorithm on PC, simulated and achieved the chamfering machine nose-to-axis control process, the system achieved the position and velocity control. In order to facilitate the on-site commissioning of the system and monitoring , by Siemens WINCC software completed the chamfering machine control system interface.In view of chamfering machine for cutting force in the process of nonlinear changes, as processing different pipe, load and cutting feed must also change, PID control is not always keep optimal state, so on the basis of the conventional PID control, introducing the intelligent PID control. Neurons PID and fuzzy PID are used to simulate the control system, and compare with the conventional PID ,results show that: Conventional PID in chamfering machine changeless load and condition changes have sufficient stiffness, But in the status of greater change on foreign forces , intelligent control in the advantages of rapid more obvious. These conclusions for further study chamfering machine system provides a theoretical basis.
