Recently, there are some problems in the traditional architecture of power system software, such as the repeated development of the computing module, the difficulties in the upgrade and maintenance of software. On account of these, the unique advantage of the component technique in solving the above problems is analyzed in the dissertation, and a thought of applying the technique to the development of software is proposed. Moreover, the method and process of developing software by J2EE architecture is introduced, and the point that J2EE architecture is the best settlement of power system software is proved. Besides, an universal power flow calculation module is designed and implemented. Finally, the software is tested by an example in IEEE system, whose computing speed fulfill the demand and error is within the range of acceptance. By the test, the validity of the software is proved and the improvement of the power system software is of possibility.
