Study On Network Technology Transformation Of Zhengzhou Netcom

Due to the impact of a series of structural transformations——abundant product,the substitution of Internet, vendees market, slump of industry profit, Our domestic telecom industry was confronted with high crfsis during the past decades. Transformation, therefore, has been growing the only choice for fixed telecom operators to fight against the adversity and get well along. There is no exception as for Zhengzhou Netcom. Although the core of transformation relies on service transformation, network technology transformation plays an important role during the whole process. In this thesis, we focus on the network technology transformation, which is certain to have a significant meaning in our opinion.This thesis first researches the background of telecom industry's transformation as well as the tendency and the ultimate object of the development of network technology, also refers to the direction of the major substrates of the whole telecom network, points out that the fixed telecom network should finally transform into a converged and layered next generation network. After analyzing the fixed telephone network of Zhengzhou Netcom, we draw the conclusion that soft switch is the only packet transmitting technology for telephone switch network and IMS is prone to be the dominant technology in the future. The strategies and process of evolution of data network are also presented, along with the conclusion that IP network should bear dual-platform network for several years, i.e. IP Internet for general services and IP bearing network for promised services, before IP QOS and security issues are completely solved. After that, we also address that the optimization and enlargement of the transport network are the main task for the current transport network in Zhengzhou Netcom.The following six chapters consist of the main body of the thesis. Chapter One introduces the meaning and necessary of network transformation and the tendency of the transformation. In the second chapter, we analyze the ultimate destination of the whole telecom network transformation. The strategies for the development of the telephone network, data network and transport network are discussed in chapter three, chapter four and chapter five respectively. Finally, we conclude the thesis in chapter six.
