The electric contact is widely used in communication and electronic industry, so its reliability is very important. The environment in which electronic system works is hardly avoided dust pollution, which will be brought into the contact interface by the movement of the contacts and then affect the electric contact. Because of the development of the industry in China, the atmosphere has more and more dust, so it's important to research the affects of dusts to electric contact.The dust has complex elements and so it not only erodes the contact interface chemically but also affects which physically. By the simple physical model, the physical effect of particle on electrical contact is researched.Three model has been founded according to the influence of the dust resistivity to the contact. Through disk method, the resistivity of several ingredient of dust are measured. Several representative grain are raised to the surface of silver-gilt sample, and four-point method is used to test the contact resistance of silver-gilt. The result shows that the result is in accordance with the three models. Through adding the humidity and volatilization of lactic acid., the influence of dust grain to the contact resistance of the contact are analyzed.
