This thesis mainly introduced the processes of the optimization and disaster tolerance testing for the mobile soft switching equipments in Henan Mobile. Firstly the thesis described the importance and meanings of the switching network optimization, and then the related principle, topology and functions are generally introduced. The author took part in the whole project of the soft switching equipment optimization in Henan. At the very beginning of the project scheme, the main goal for the optimization is claimed, that is to improve the working performances of the soft switching equipments, to continuously enhance system security and the capability in emergency, also to balance the resources distributions, to improve the use efficiency of the network and regulate the routing data of soft switching under the background of large local network as well, thus, laid the foundation for the next step to centralize the maintenance of the network. After that, from the different aspects of routing optimization, network security optimization and network performance optimization, the thesis discussed the real network performance check, data collect and analysis, then regulated and applied the optimization scheme, thus, finally made a subjective evaluation for the improvement by comparison of the past and present on the network performance index, use efficiency , network security and routing data. After the optimization, an obvious improvement on the operation of the soft switching equipments, the by-pass routing problem was resolved, the routing topology get simplified, the network efficiency get improved, so does the network performance index, thus, the expected result has been achieved. This optimization proves that the deeply optimization in the switching network is essential, its status and function is gradually important for the network maintenance and layout, so is it for the network construction. It laid an positive and directive meaning in the application. The fourth part of the thesis made an introduction of the disaster tolerance test project in which the author had been involved, moreover, made an analysis of the process of the disaster tolerance and summarized the test result. The author also gave an advice on the soft switching equipments disaster tolerance scheme for Henan mobile.
