3G mobile phone is the third generation handsets which combine voice communications and multimedia communications together, and include images, music, web browsing, conference calls and other information services such as value-added services of a new generation of mobile communications systems. Communications products brought about unprecedented challenges and opportunities in April 2008 from the 3G era coming. The industry of domestic mobile phone faces a new turning point. Its own unique designs will clearly establish their own brand image, which has a good development prospects. In this paper, use of design aesthetics, marketing, semiotics and methodology, a comprehensive systematic analysis of 3G mobile phone appearance modeling elements of features, from the human point of view, the use of consumer analysis, the use of the system design research, design goal, Master of design law, increasing 3G mobile phone market competitiveness.In this paper, analysis the development of 3G mobile phones conditions of domestic and abroad, further analysis of China 3G mobile phone designs of the status quo, and the Chinese elements using in mobile phone design, propose the basic material elements in the aesthetic appearance of design, symbols, colors, patterns for 3 G mobile phone. According to human, social, cultural, economic and environmental needs, analysis the conditions which decide the main functions ,making specific design analysis from the specific requirements of market, such as entertainment, business-oriented, market-oriented women to men Market-oriented, retro and cultural integration of regional phone design, also talked about the of 3G mobile phone in concept design. Finally focusing on expound 3G mobile phone design methods from four respects, following by 3G mobile phone from feeling design, green design, human design, creative performance of phone details. Phone details of innovative performance is the core of the paper, major analysis modeling appearance on the phone, the pieces of the structure, handset, camera, keys, to the sound speakers, cameras decorative pieces, text and pictorial silk screen and slot design.
