Manufacturing grid makes the connectivity of all the distributed manufacturing resources come true. Users can make use of the service resources in manufacturing grid conviently as if they were local resources. It resolved the problem of resource sharing and collaborate work in network manufacturing environment. In allusion to problem of custom service discovery which based on the keyword has the unsatisfactory result of low rate of inquiry precision and recall, the service discovery based on semantic in manufacturing grid was researched. It integrates the technology of grid computing, semantic web and web service, and it based on the service description and computes the similarity of services through the algorithm of service matchmaker. In a word, it is a realization way of discovery services quickly and exactly. Focus on the process of service discovery, this thesis strengths study on the theories and key technologies of service discovery based on semantic in manufacturing grid.Based on the architecture of web service and combined with the technology of semantic web and web service, the system architecture model of service discovery system based on semantic in manufacturing grid was designed which focus on the process of service description, publish and matchmake. The function component of the architecture was designed, and its workflow was researched.In order to add semantic information to the manufacturing grid resource services, the process of constructing ontology was researched, and an experimental ontology of manufacturing resources was constructed. The definition of serviceProfile of grid services named GServicePfiles which includes the state and services data was put forward through inherit and extend the serviceProfile of web ontology language for service. At last, the semantic description of services was realized combined with the GServicePfofiles ontology and the ontology of manufacturing resource domain. The storage manner of services was optimized and the problem of the semantic sustainable in service register center was resolved through the introduction of the classifying mechanism and OWL-S to service register center.In order to realize discovery and matchmake of the manufacturing resource services, the mathematical model of service discovery was presented, and the restriction for searching manufacturing resource services was expatiated. A realized infrastructure named matching engine was researched, the system architecture and work process of the matching engine were researched. On the basis of the definition of service matching degree and semantic similarity, the matching algorithm implemented in the matching engine was designed. As the experiment state, the algorithm has improved the service discovery in precision and recall.Finally, with the help of a project named "manufacturing grid resource sharing platform", the prototype of service discovery in manufacturing grid was developed, and the feasibility of the research was validated.
