Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) can work in many circumstance, including military affairs, environment inspection and industry field. It can gather and process the information of the interest object. So the research on WSN became one of the technique focuses in 21st. Century. Among the problems that need solved on schedule, the key point in WSN is how to make use of the limited energy and location information to set route of interest sphere. The way of obtaining terminal-focused information in traditional network has been got rid of. Instead, data-focused method is more concerned. It brings the great changes to routing method, which makes IP-based routing protocols in WSN out of date.Nowadays, the routing scheme base on location information contains Restricted Flooding method, Greedy Forwarding method and Perimeter Routing method, etc. the aim of the GF is to pursue the optimal route in specific directions, but lack of hole-round ability. And by using"Right-Hand Rule", Perimeter Routing improves the hole-round ability, but on expense of good path. The ability of path optimization and rerouting shows the performance of a routing method. To achieve that, a new method of Friend Assisted Routing is proposed. By conjunction of Local Routing and strong-considered Remote Routing, the method builds an anchored path under the help of friends. The predominance of this scheme lies in the prediction of obstacle in directions. And it can adjust path before reaching the hole. Besides, it also has the characteristic of path optimization, for there are no communication holes between friends according to the rule. The network model and sensor system model are scientifically designed in this dissertation, on which a controlled simulation is carried to compare the path optimization and network connectivity in GF, Perimeter Routing and FAR methods respectively. The results demonstrate that the new method performs better.
