Presently data recorders such as tape recorders, hard disk recorders and disk array recorders are widely used, because data recording and playback are needed in many application systems in order to support real-time data recording and subsequent analysis. The thesis develops a universal data recorder which supports high-speed, multi-channel and high-capacity data recording and data random playback. The thesis takes tape recorders, disk array recorders and solid status data recorders as reference, and consults the technology of high-speed signal sampling, high-capacity data storage and high-speed data playback. The thesis presents a scheme which takes the embedded technology and disk direct storage technology as the kernel. Environment adaptability, stability and reliability of the data recorder are solved by using Embedded characteristic. The problems of high-speed and multi-channel data storage scheduler are solved by using the real-time characteristic. The problems of high-speed data storage and random read-write of storage data are solved by using disk direct storage technology. And highly active management of disk data storage is implemented by transplanting FAT32 file system which is used popular at present. In addition, Ethernet interface is designed to support the playback of recording data, and relevant communication protocols are established to ensure reliable transfer between data recorder and computer. For improving the commonality of data recorder, sixteen concurrent analog signal sampling interfaces and thirty two concurrent digital signal sampling interfaces are designed, which can be used for direct recording of high-speed and multi-channel analog and digital signals. For certification of the scheme validity, special test procedure is written. And test results indicate that this system is possible to record and playback multi-channel data and it completely conforms to design requirements.
