Flight simulator is a typical human-in-the-loop simulation system and simulates flight realistically. It is an important device for simulating the flight's flying on the ground. As an effective method for flight training, it has been widely used in today's international aviation industry. Pilots trained by flight simulator on ground achieve highest reliable feeling as manipulating real aircraft in sky, even more safety and economy. Pilots using flight simulator will learn how to manage special flight situation such as atrocious weather and serious malfunction. These special training couldn't carry out on real aircraft. So the flight simulator is indispensability to aviation industry.The landing-gear model is one of the important parts of mathematical models in flight simulation. When aircraft taking-off, landing or maneuvering on the ground, accuracy of the landing-gear model will have an influence on not only the characteristic of aircraft's dynamics and kinematics, but also simulated fidelity and pilot assessment. This paper presents a modeling method of the landing-gear which based on the tests of landing-gear and its components. Using MATLAB/Simulink established the landing-gear system model, which can reflect the aircraft movement on the ground accurarlly.This paper is divided into three parts. The first one is about the land-gear model and its separated parts, including tire, multi-wheel bogey, gear-strut. Second part is about the dynamic model of landing-gear movement, including nose-wheel steering control system and brake system. The last part is about establishing Simulink model. This model can simulate the aircraft's braking in different runway. Compared the simulation data and flight test data, the results show that the simulation data accorded with the requirements of landing-gear system and all of tested data are in the tolerance scope. As a result of analysis, it's concluded that the model is correct and can meet the demand of flight simulation system.
