The solid dye laser compares to the traditional liquid dye laser, it will have a small size, light weight, easy to operate, compact structure, the use of more reliable and so on. Because it eliminates the liquid flow of anisotropy, overcome the solvent evaporation and the possibility of spills dye in the operation of environmental hazards. Flash-pumped dye laser can be simple in structure and to the high pumping energy, which is widespread prospect in medicine, atmospheric monitoring, and military confrontation.In this paper, we understand the discharging principle of the pulsed xenon-lamp and photoelectricity characteristic, take detailed analysis to the typical xenon-lamp discharging process and how to get other electrical parameters from xenon-lamp parameters which we has kown. We simulate discharging current curve with computer by the analysis of the typical xenon-lamp discharging circuit,find out the condition which carry out damping vibration by analysising the set of curves, calculate the various circuit parameters,Finally we design one microsecond level discharging circuit of solid state dye laser which is pumped by xenon-lamp. Simultaneously we consider the inaccurateness which caused by a variety of reasons in a microsecond level discharge. We analysis difficulties in circuit and how to resolve them.In the experiments,we measure the actual discharging current curve and the light pulsed chart by oscilloscope, analysis the waveform in different suitation such as different numbers of xenon lamp pumped,capacitors in series or parallel, calculate the actual parameters in circuit, by contrast with the theory value we get the data when one lamp pumped,Its pulse-width is 9.97μs, the circuit inductance 22.09μH,αis 0.1,we kown the discharging current waveform is underdamped vibration by constrast with theory value.From the data of two xenon lamp pumped we kown the situation what strong preignition current is 1.61A,capacitors is parallel is most approach with theory value,But the waveform is still underdamped vibration.We do experiment with 3 lamp-pumped finally.the experiment cannot carry on because ciruit cannot provide the maintenance voltage and the DC voltage which satisfy the request with 3 lamps-pumped need.We suppose the inductance of two lamps pumped is approximately equal to the inductance of four lamps pumped, simulate pulsed xenon lamp discharging curve.the waveform which we get from gram proof that the four lamps pumed experiment is necessary,hope that the test will be taking a step forward in the future.
