On Sustainable Development Of Archives In Universities

The files of universities gathers abundance of information and turns out to be an important components of university education system. It is worked out by all the faculties and registers faithfully the history of the universities. Consequently it becomes an essential reference to education quality evaluation, science and technology production judgement, faculties quality and also the university management degrees. In recent years, the university file management improves a lot and becomes more and more valued.Along with the concept of knowledge economy, advance of social modernization and the wide application of information and network technology, Chinese university education is confronted with chances and challenges. The traditional file management system and method cannot satisfied the need of modern society and education innovation. Accordingly, how to improve the file management, keep it in the way of sustainable development and ensure the unsbustituable function of file management in university development becomes a new question. This thesis makes some exploration of sustainable development of university file management in the following five aspects:Chapter one reviews the history of Chinese university file management after the implementing of innovation and open-door policy. It is appreciated that the management has been improved in scale, social effect and economic effect after which the main problems have been pointed out. The essence which has impacts on the sustainable development are analyzed in this chapter, including staff file consciousness, work style, the difficulties in merging university file management and the staff qulity.Chapter two puts forth the importance of university file management consciousness and detail method to strengthen it by exploring in many aspects, such as recognition of the importance of university file management, spreading propaganda, freeing the mind and updating the concept. Chapter three first discusses how to improve the collection method of file information and how to keep the file of merging universities integrity and safe. And then it explores the detail plans to realize the inherent amalgamation between the merging universities.Chapter four first analyzes the necessary of university file management innovation basing on which the innovation suggestions has been put forward. The suggestions on university file management innovation includes: integration of documents and files; cyberizing the file documents; taking advantage of the innovation. In this way, the university file management can advance with the time and take sustainable development.Chapter five sets forth that only if the file management staff enhance their quality respecting to ideology politics, ethnics, profession, and comprehensive ability to become advanced with time and interdisciplinary talent can that sustainable development of university file management realize.
