Research On Video Conference System Based On Hierarchical Ad Hoc Network

The ad hoc network will provide technical support for architecture industry and fire fighting system. The ad hoc network is a self-organized network which supports the node moving of the network. Therefore our research team proposes a real-time video information transport system based on hierarchical ad hoc network and related video conference system. This paper mainly focuses on the video conference system which based on hierarchical ad hoc network.The topology of ad hoc network is changing all the time, and the essential of the network is centralless and loosely. There is mismatch between the distributed network and centralized software system, and that will affect the performance of whole system.So this paper proposes a distributed video conference system in order to improve the performance of the system. Our proposed system includes basic functions of the video conference, such as audio/video conference, file transportation and literal chatting. We develop the core part of the system, conference control part, by ourselves. The codec of audio and video are LAME and Xvidcore. They are all open source project and popular in their fields. That will be helpful for the performance of system. We have realized the basic function of the video conference, such as audio and video communication, literal chatting and file transmission. The developed system can meet our proposed request.We believe that our system will make the collaboration work of construction site and the command work of fire fighting more conveniently and simple.
