With the breakthrough in manufacturing technique, LED display panel, as one of the leading products in FPD(flat panel display), will be more widely used undoubtly. As far as a practical project is concerned, the whole panel system's performance is mainly determined by its controlling system, while the display data organization is a key issue to each panel's control system.Considering the importance of data organizaton, a method is discussed emphatically in the sight of multiple scanning beam. A fundamental principle that data arranged continuously followed by scanning sequence is put forward, according to the panel's operation mode. In accordance with the requirement of various display effects, the flow of organizing data is analyzed, the analytic expressions of mapping relationship between display area and memory is deduced, and corresponding algorithms are given. This provides credible fundation for data addressing. Storage efficiency of the method is also analyzed, and the solution for reducing memory space is given. Because data organization is a common problem existed in FPD, the method proposed in this thesis could serve a valuable reference for other implementation.A control sysem based on above mentioned theory rearch is introduced,which could control a 4096×256 large-scale LED panel. By comparing with other devices and analyzing its suitability to the needs of LED panel control, the feasibility and rationality of VRS51L3074 serving as the core of the control card is proved. Components of the card and resource allocation of VRS51L3074 are discribed. The nonvolatile memory circuit, external data BUS extension circuit .etc, are analyzed. Coupled with peripheral circuits, 32-bit data could be output simultaneously from RAM to the panel with DMA mode. The method for accessing the data memory is introduced detailedly. This parallel mechanism provides an approach for high-speed data output. In the mean time, the structure of software and measures adopted to speed up data output significantly are also presented.In summary, the emphasis of this thesis is focused on the universal method of multi-scanning beam display data organization. And the contol system designed for large-scale LED panels based on the method is intruduced.
